Allowances without surprises.

Tokens are small pieces of text used to measure AI usage. Your questions use input tokens; tutor replies use output tokens.

How does live-avatar time work?

Registered Free learners receive one minute once per account. Individual includes ten minutes per calendar month. The initial School allowance is a shared 100-minute monthly pool with a five-minute cap per learner. Guests cannot use the live avatar. These are the initial plan allowances; your account displays your available time.

Does coding or replaying an explanation use live-avatar time?

No. Standard explanations use reusable OpenAI speech. New personal guidance can use the live avatar when you enable it. The server closes the provider connection after preparing that guidance. Coding, pausing and replaying saved audio use no avatar time. Voice generation and AI feedback have their own service limits.

Can I continue when live-avatar time runs out?

Yes. Keep your course access and saved code, use available saved audio or captions, and continue the exercises. No automatic avatar overage charges or top-ups are made.

What is included with a Free learner account?

A Free learner receives 20 guided practice questions, three distinct premium course-video unlocks, a lifetime £0.10 AI Tutor allowance, and one Ask AI turn per checked self-check attempt.

Does replaying a premium video use another unlock?

No. The allowance covers three distinct premium videos. Replaying one you already unlocked does not use another slot.

How do paid AI allowances work?

Individual and School plans include a monthly allowance for questions and tutor replies. For each checked self-check attempt, you can ask up to 10 AI questions on the Individual plan or 6 on the School plan. Both plans include unlimited access to practice questions and premium course videos.
